Modelones - Fade Into Hue - Poly Nail Gel Kit (15g)

I've had great results with this polygel kit. I love the products frm Modelones & not 1 complaint

This is a decent set. The activator worked perfectly for me, but I let the powder dry for probably 5+ min before using it. I then let it dry for 15+ min before attempting to file, and had no issues or damage with filing.So the base and activator were good. I haven't tried the cuticle oil because I don't really like to use cuticle oil. I also don't really like cuticle nourishing oils, but I used that one because doing your nails like this is pretty hard on them. It seemed fine, nothing to stand out above any other I've used.What I didn't like was the top coat. Other reviewers are right that the fumes on this set of products are pretty harsh, and the top coat is the absolute worst. The smell isn't super strong on any of the products, but it's not good. I actually kind of like the normal acrylic nail smell. This one is kind of musty/wet dog. And I thought all the people complaining about these burning their eyes were just overly sensitive but holy cow. The base and activator were tolerable but the top coat was quite an assault. And to top it off (see what I did there), the top coat is not good. It's advertised as "glass like shine" but it took forever to dry (20+ min, not 30-60 sec as advertised). I could tell right away that was going to be the case so I kicked back with my hand resting. It still dried sort of bumpy and matte looking despite not being touched while drying. It was rough to the touch. I had to go back over it with a gel top coat to get it smooth and shiny again.I have never done dip before, but I've been doing gel nails for over 7 years. I just started trying liquid acrylic a few weeks ago and it was so time consuming (with my inexperience) that I wanted to try dip.In my photos you are seeing on the index finger, this dip set with modelones mini/trial set white dip powder applied over synthetic tips, and then painted with black gel polish and a sheer glitter gel polish. On the rest of the nails, my previous liquid acrylic set and tips were still in goo.

This kit was great! It had everything I needed. I was really excited because I have never done polygel before ( Only acrylic and dip powder) this was a new experience and there is a learning curve with the dual forms. However once I learned, the process was super easy. I was also looking forward to the color changing tube but it turned out to be clear in room temperature and didn't turn pink at the tips :( without me sticking it in ice water. Overall really good and packaged super nicely!

I waited a couple weeks before reviewing so I would be able to really try the product.This polygel is amazing. Its the first polygel I've ever tried and I'm sure will be the last. I've been doing my own acrylic nails since I was in my teens, easily 10 years at this point. I've gotten them professionally done every once in a while as well but I always preferred to do it myself. Ive tried many products and one this they all had in common was lifting.It didn't matter what I did, the acrylic would lift. Dehydrators, primers, different types of powder, liquids, i tried a good range of techniques and products, they lifted within a week.This polygel, has stayed completely put for over 2 weeks. No lifting at all.At around a week and a half I swapped my nail color for another gel polish, but I haven't filled them yet.Its durable (I am in no way delicate with my nails, i am a stay at home mother with 3 little ones constantly washing things or scraping something sticky with them.) Its easy to use, and I love the way they look!The picture i include is after a 2.5 weeks of wear.This polygel by Modelones is fantastic!

I'm hoping I'll get better with cuticle application & applying better designs. As well as making the nails more smooth on the underside but not too thin that they break. However this is the perfect kit for someone just tired of paying nail shops & wanting to take the initiative to do their own nails! No rush like acrylic & no mess like gel! This is truly beginner friendly, & I 100% reccomend! All you need is a led uv light & you're ready to go! If I had anything negative to say, it would be that the 1 color changing color kind of stays clear majority of the wear. It may tint a hue of purple every now & then. The actual tip will turn purple under cold water, but not the base. Or I could just be a naturally hot person...and I mean that both ways lol! Anyways, I hope you enjoy this kit as much as I did beautiful people!
