Modelones - Sweet Red - 22Pcs Poly Nail Gel Kit 【US ONLY】

Very happy with the colours offered in the Sweet Red set, and it was significantly cheap given the inclusion of the 48w curing lamp and several tubes of polygel. The accessories included are great for those still starting out, and the glitters and precision tweezers were a nice little surprise I didn’t realise were in there at first. All colours included are lovely and complement one another. Still need to do a full set with multiple colours but I can see a lot of possibilities. Polygel is a little tricky at first and the initially set wasn’t the most elegant of things for me personally, but this kit is great for learning, and has enabled me to get better results the more I’m willing to reference how others use modelones sets and put some of that finesse into my own sets! Hope to have my technique quite solid enough to share some pretty nail pictures very soon thanks to this kit!.. Worth it for the lamp & gels alone if you are trying to do full sets on yourself btw, the 48w saves a lot of time and stickiness). Only thing I wish was maybe included in here was perhaps a UV glove or builder gel/glue, maybe to replace the slip solution—I find alcohol works amazing as an anti-slip for the modelones gels anywho, but that’s not to say the solution doesn’t do it’s job. Modelones won’t gyp you by any means. :]

I should mention, the speed of the US to US shipping caught me off guard in the best way haha, more time to get working on my nails, the better. Thanks Modelones, I will be back! Recommended!

First thing that was a bit stressful was the fact that the tracking updates never showed. Luckily it arrived on the expected date right before I was about to cancel it since I thought it had never been shipped. I contacted Modelones and they did help me out and gave me a future discount so that was good. PS one of the mini glitter jars came open and it had spilled glitter all over the package which was annoying to clean but I recovered as much as possible and placed it back in the jar. On the other hand the actual product is great but I recommend getting polygel nail clips which hold the nail form while drying under the light so it doesn't cause bubbles. The kit comes with a base coat but I always recommend getting a dehydrator and primer to avoid lifting and works best if it's the same brand. Btw having to use a dehydrator and primer has nothing to do with the base coat being bad, it's something to do with prepping the nails that I always do regardless if you're using acrylic or gel. Besides that, everything in the kit works great. Now, if you've used acrylic before or any type of nail extensions products this will be very easy to use, if you're a complete beginner and know nothing about nails IT IS a bit hard so don't expect for it to be perfect but that's something you can fix with practice. If you have experience with nails, the first set will turn out great and it's easier that shaping a bead of acrylic. If its your first time, you'll probably get a good set after three or four tries.

Okay so I'll admit it, I SUCK at doing my nails. Always have. I kept seeing videos of people doing nails this way and it seemed fairly easy to get nails that look like you just came from a salon.So I ordered this kit with my fingers crossed. Not gonna lie, it's a little daunting when you first open the kit. But once you have everything out and get an idea of what you're supposed to do, it's not so bad. The first time I tried this they looked pretty gnarly. The picture I have is of the second time I tried it I think I did a much better job.What made it easier for me was putting the gel on MY nail, rather than on the nail form. Just a small amount on the nail and use the brush to smooth it out. It was easier to control this way and it came out way more even than when I put it on the nail form.There's definitely trial and error, but I was pleased with how strong the gel was once it was cured. Really easy to shape.I'd definitely watch some videos before attempting this, but even a beginner like me came out with decent-looking nails. Yay!

So I've only done two nail sets with this so far and I really liked the both of them. I am in no way a nail tech I just thought it'd be nice to see if I could do my nails myself, the only thing I can say is keep practicing. Polygel is really tricky to use, well at least for me, for first set I did my nails broke on the second day and I believe it was my fault for not making the middle of my nail thick enough, but when I did my 2nd second set I took a lot more time on it and it lasted about 4 days, reason being is I work with my hands a lot honestly I would recommend doing the lazy girl method for longer wear time on your nails and if you want them for a couple of days to a week or two use the dual forms. Other than that the packaging is really nice and comes with everything you see in the picture. would definitely buy again.

I love this poly gel kit, I'm no nail technician far from it. But I've watch my mother do nails for year so I picked up a few tips.I would definitely recommend this kit but watch some YouTube videos on how to use it , it will help and how to shape your nails, you'll still need additional stuff like tip cutter and nail form if want a clearer look , the nail clippers will crack the poly gel so get a tip cutter'I'm only upset that the price went down after I bought the kit !!
